On September 11th, 2001, terrorists attacked America when they flew hijacked commercial jets into both towers of the World Trade Center in New York, and the Pentagon in Washington DC. A suicide attack by a fourth airliner, United Airlines Flight 93 bound for Washington DC, was foiled by passengers, but the plane crashed in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. All total, 2,996 people were killed and more than 6,000 people were injured.
But, did terrorists also attempt to assassinate George W. Bush on September 11th, 2001?
