I originally intended to cover a Stephen King list of “Greatest Horror Movies of All Time” this week in Saturdays with Stephen, but the news broke this week that the long-rumored film adaptation of “It” is back on.

tim-curryLike me, you probably watched the 90s mini-series based on King’s prolific 1,100+ page novel, and like me, you were probably permanently scarred by It, left with a persistent fear of clowns.

In 2014, a film adaptation was announced, but it never came to fruition. Now, director Andy Muschietti [Mama] is apparently aboard and reviving a two-movie adaptation of It. It’s very early in the process, so there isn’t a release date yet. ┬áVanity Fair has the whole story.

I’ll have that list of King’s all-time favorite horror movies next week.
