In the near future of 2023, citizens can purchase goods, unlock doors, and ride the subway without keys, identification, or credit cards, as long as they consent to keep a copy of their DNA profile in a database. Privacy is regarded a fair sacrifice in the name of security. But, what are the repercussions when the government is given access to the DNA database? And what happens when people start showing up in two places at once?
